Mr. S.K. Agarwal is the visionary Chairman of the company. He founded the company in 1975 and started a new era in the field of manufacturing reagents and complex biochemicals in the field of molecular biology. The Indian government always wanted to create a strong specialty chemical manufacturing lobby which gave competition to European and American brands available in the Indian market back then.

Mr. S.K. Agarwal, although being an Arts graduate from St. Xavier's college, built a world-class company due to his in-depth quest for knowledge, business acumen and a philanthropic attitude to give back to the scientific community by way of manufacturing complex products at 1/10 the cost of imported reagents at a very young age, which was very much the need of the hour for the scientific research and development in India.

Under his leadership, the company has been awarded and recognized for its significant contribution to the biotechnology segment as 'The MSME of the Year - Sector Chemicals' by the Government of India in 2020. Apart from this, he has been a world committee member of the ISFG (International Scout and Guide Fellowship) organisation. Through his personal interests, he is associated with helping the needs of destitute children, old age homes, rural development and medical donations through trusts and charitable activities.

Mr. Ramesh Agarwal - Joint Chairman

Mainly responsible for Finance, Procurement & Business Development for the company.

Mr. Ramesh Agarwal has played the role of a pillar overseeing the growth and expansion of the company for the last 30 years. He has been instrumental in managing the company's marketing, supply chain and procurements by creating robust relationships with suppliers & customers thereby helping the smooth operations of the company.

Whether it was new infrastructure expansions in production or operations, he has played a vital role in making sure the company followed its goals to achieve overall strategic growth in the mid 90's to capture the market share to sell to the Indian pharmaceutical bubble in the post liberalisation era of Indian industries.

Being a strong negotiator has been his inner strength to impress the corporate lobby. He has created long-lasting relationships with external stakeholders that has helped SRL to hold a high level of performance in the last many years.

Mr. Akash Agarwal - Managing Director
BE - Chem Engg (Mumbai)
MBA - Case Western Reserve University, USA

Mainly responsible for Production, R&D, Operations & Strategy, IT, Business Development and Import Procurement for the company.

The company is marching ahead with a dedicated strategy in place and a common vision shared by the employees of the company and Mr. Akash has been responsible for several strategic initiatives and has also been an important change agent for the company since the last decade. Mr. Akash has overseen the expansion of the bulk manufacturing plants, formation of the BioLit division in Chennai, streamlining the supply chain functions and constantly engaged in the day-to-day working of the company for more than a decade.

Mr. Vikas Agarwal - Joint Managing Director

Mainly responsible for Bulk Business Development, Infrastructure Projects, Human Resource Management, Domestic Procurement, Brand Communication & PR for the company.

Being an integral part of the company, he leads in creating new initiatives, goals and implementation to achieve them at several levels of the organization. Innovation and creativity being his sharp suit, he leads many futuristic and on-going projects that lead to smooth functioning of new and daily operations. Knowing what the customer wants is the key to any sales & marketing activity, Mr. Vikas excels at building a strong relationship with both existing and potentially new customers. To understand this, travel is absolutely essential. He believes in travelling and meeting as many people as possible both to learn and build relationships.

Mr. Vikas says ”Without customers, there is no company. Here at SRL apart from other things customer service is our main focus. Customers make the personality and the name for the company. It is this reason they come back & we build long-lasting relationships. Because in the end relationships are what carries the company forward”.
